Foamed-in-place Insulation

Thermographs (infrared pictures) of CMU walls can be used to determine the level of insulation in the walls. The foam insulation levels are readily seen in the imagery. Insulation deficiencies can be marked on a report.

By digitally adjusting the brightness/contrast of an infrared image, different features in the image can be enhanced. To see the insulation better, save it on your computer, and then increase both the brightness and the contrast.

Insulation deficiencies and heat loss can be found using Infrared Thermography
The infrared image on the left shows where foamed-in-place insulation is warmer than empty cells and grouted cells.
